(old news about the topic)

Update from Satyricon: "The last week and a half has been very eventful, recording vocals, brass with people from the the Broadcasting orchestra and the philharmonic, last night we had a choir called Grex Vocalis in the studio and we did a big photo shoot last weekend with tame wolves and lynx's(that were not tame) at some sort of reservate up in the mountains here in Norway. Very fascinating and powerful! We also went to some locations which represent the country's dramatic nature in a great way.
This week we're finishing the final recordings and preparing the album for mix. Saturday we play Kaltenbach Open Air in Austria and Monday we fly back to L.A to mix the record with Joe Barresi and do mastering with Brian Gardner.
Euro tour is currently being lined up for mid November till late December these days and we're coming to back to America for the first time since 04 in January and February as direct support for COF.
On the next update, the album title will be revealed. Take care."

(old news about the topic)

Norwegian black metallers Satyricon are recording their 7th album.
Here is a message from the band:

"We've now completed the drums and the guitars for the new Satyricon album in Los Angeles! We have a new session beginning Monday, doing vocals, bass and and perhaps some brass too. Third week of July we're doing some keyboard/FX stuff before we go back to L.A to mix the record. These are exciting times as we feel this is a milestone in the making. It won't help keeping expectations down, but we can't help it, it feels so incredibly strong! Dates are being confirmed and offers are coming in constantly as we speak and it looks like we will start touring the world mid November. We'll post a video from the recording of the drums over the weekend and in the meantime we might see some of you at Nummirock and Hellfest. Take care."
