Negura Bunget: 'Maiestrit / Maiastru sfetnic' & 'Focul Viu' (live DVD)

'Maiestrit / Maiastru sfetnic', along 'Focul Viu' (live DVD) are the last materials that Romanian black metal band Negura Bunget worked under the original formula of the band.
The band commented: "The first idea to re-record entirely the 'Maiastru sfetnic' album we had soon after the original release came out in 1999. It took some years though before we finally started doing it, in 2008. After a lot of work the basic elements were already recorded in April 2009, when Negura Bunget parted ways with Hupogrammos and Sol Faur. It remained their task though to complete the work on this material. And now 'Maiestrit' is the final legacy of the Negura Bunget's past."
Its release date is schedueled for February 2010.

The live DVD, entitled 'Focul Viu' ("Living Fire"), was recorded in January 2008 at a concert in Bucharest. After a complex process of audio and video mix, the 90 minutes concert is now ready to be released. Beside the actual concert, available in stereo and 5.1 surround mix, you'll find on the DVD a slideshow with concert pictures, as well as a re-arrangement of all Negura Bunget videos up to date mixed on the live performance.The material will be released by Prophecy Productions in 3 different formats: Digi DVD (video), digipak 2CD (audio only), and special digi DVD + 2CD (video + audio). Release date is schedueled for 2010.

These two materials are the last materials we started working on in the old Negura Bunget line-up, that featured Sol Faur and Hupogrammos, and although we completed with them apart from the band, all belong to the same spirit. These two releases mark the end of an era, and the beginning of a new one.

Negura Bunget is ready to announce the first details of the 2010 European Tour, entitled Spirit of the Land. The first part of the tour, schedueled between January 22 and February 7 will be dedicated to the band's first extended journey through the Balkans (Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia), while the second, scheduled between March 18 and May 30, will be dedicated to another extensive journey throughout Western Europe. A vinyl version of Negura Bunget's album 'N crugu bradului' was released not long ago by Those Opposed Records (www.those-opposed-recs.fr.nf). It came out as double LP, with gatefold cover and foldout sheet.

Negura Bunget have been confirmed for Hellfest 2010, which will happen in Clisson, France, in June.
