Seth explains: "This is a small fragment of the artwork that will dress the new artistic experiment of Septicflesh, 'The Great Mass'. It is a small part of an occult machine made from marble and flesh, fantasy and reality, order and chaos. A great machine composed from the blasphemous union of strange figures, creations of Man, the creator of the gods and demons. Their grotesque purpose will be revealed soon, when all the cover editions of the new album will be presented and will be combined together... Let the great self-cannibalistic symposium begin."
The Greek demons' new opus will be available in the following formats:
* CD + Blu-ray Digipak
* Collector's book including 2 CDs + Blu-ray
* 12" gatefold LP
* CD jewel case
* Digital download
The main artwork for 'The Great Mass' will appear on the limited digipak edition, the gatefold LP and the dust jacket of the collector's book.

(older news about the topic:)
Greek demons Septicflesh just finished recordings the successor of 2008's 'Communion'. After a long period of intense work in Athens, Prague and Sweden, the evolution of the band's symphonic death sound has been achieved with the help of the Filmharmonic Orchestra of Prague and well known artist / producer Peter Tägtgren (Hypocrisy, Pain etc.).
130 musicians were involved in the recording process. Besides the traditional classic orchestra instruments, this time Septicflesh incorporated harpsichord, some bizarre ethnic instruments and a boy soprano to their sound, pursuing a more "horror soundtrack" approach. Of course, the guitars will still shred you to death.
The release of the forthcoming 10-song album is expected for the first quarter of 2011, through Season Of Mist. In the meantime, a brand new song will be available worldwide as an exclusive digital download single from this December 17th on.

Greek dark metallers Septicflesh are currently hard at work on the follow-up to 2008's 'Communion' album. The recording process is scheduled to start on the middle of the summer at the band's newly built Devasoundz studios in Athens, Greece. Guitarist Christos Antoniou will once again go to Prague, Czech Republic to record the orchestral parts.
This time, the band's effort to expand their dark and dreamlike soundscapes will be aided by famous producer Peter Tägtgren (Hypocrisy, Pain, Amon Amarth, Marduk, Therion, Children of Bodom, Celtic Frost, Immortal, etc).
The yet-untitled album is set to a tentative early 2011 release through Season Of Mist.
