Azarath: 'Holy Possession' EP and album coming + new line-up
Most merciless underground act returns with new release! Recording session of fifth album by the mighty Azarath took place in January and February in famous Hertz Studio (Vader, Behemoth, Lost Soul) where Wieslawscy Bros were responsible for production, mixing and mastering duties. Yet untitled full-length album will be released on 6th of June 2011 by Witching Hour Productions.
Recently Azarath underwent some personal changes - Necrosodom (guitar and vocals) replaced Bruno. Bass duties are now handled by P. Music was composed and arranged by Inferno and Bart, while Necrosodom wrote all the lyrics. 10 new devilish hymns were recorded for this album - as Inferno comments: "The character and atmosphere of music was changed considerably. The music is dark, ominous and spatial -- in many parts refers to Black Metal and classics of the genre. Aggression and sonic massacre is not lacking at all - as this is our main frontline". Here are the titles of several songs - 'Behold the Satan's Sword', 'Under the Will of the Lord', 'Deathstorms Raid the Earth', 'Lucifer's Rising'.
Azarath signed with Witching Hour, the label which will first release EP 'Holy Possession' and then forthcoming full album. This EP consisting of title track and cover of 'Rebel Souls' by Damnation, will be available as CD and 7" EP on April 10th. CD edition will be limited to 666 units ("die hard") and 7" EP will be limited to 333 copies - white vinyl with metal envelope containing also poster and badge. Iconoclastic graphics for full album and LP were designed by Boris Kaluzhny aka Hatefrost, Ukrainian artist residing in New York.
