Rage: '21'
It's hard, fast, extreme - but at the same time virtuosic and melodic: the new Rage album '21' (Out in 24th of February 2012) (playing time almost 1 hour).
At the past weekend, the CD was presented to an international group of journalists which were gobsmacked and delighted at the same time. "'21' sounds harsher and more virtuosic. The waiting time will be darn hard", states Tobias Blum of Rock Hard Germany. Andrea Vignati of Italian Metal Hammer is even more enthusiastic: "This is a milestone for Rage's future."
"The songs of '21', so the title of the almost 1 hour lasting album, are even better as they already sounded at the rehearsal room", guitarist Victor Smolski told and continued "Everything is real powerful and aggressive and has got much more energy and the necessary aggression. I have taken much time for the sound check and took lots of effort for the arrangements. I think '21' is the best arranged album concerning interaction of guitar, bass and drum playing what Rage did in the last years. As a producer I have a big responsibility, but after 10 years of working together with Charlie Bauerfeind it's always getting easier, we understand each other blind, so to say. I'm very happy with the performances of Peavy and André (so evil you haven't heard Peavy before), with my guitar work I'm also really satisfied, I've tried to implement the best I can momentarily. The concept of the album has become really round, all songs are completely rounded, hard, aggressive, no "happy metal melodies", but nevertheless varying. My favorite song: 'Forever Dead', something between 'Kill Your Gods' and 'Down'. Release date will be the 24th of February 2012, beginning of March we will go for European tour. Concert dates you'll find at the "dates" section, more photos out of the studio and from the photo shooting for the album you'll find at the "photo" section".
