Holy Grail lead guitarist Eli Santana speaks about the artwork below:Last night, Holy Grail kicked off a North American tour with Hellyeah, with whom they toured in Australia earlier this year. Throughout the tour, the band will perform their new single 'Dark Passenger', which was released on iTunes earlier this month. The song, which will also appear on 'Ride the Void', will be released on 7-inch vinyl imminently along with the previously unreleased B-side 'Go down Swinging'.

Since bursting onto the metal scene in 2009, Holy Grail have toured with the likes of Amon Amarth, Exodus, Blind Guardian, Dragonforce and Eluveitie in addition to performing at some of the genreā€™s biggest international festivals, including Wacken in Germany, Download in the UK, Soundwave in Australia and Loud Park in Japan. 'Ride The Void' is their first full-length release since 'Crisis in Utopia', which Revolver named one of 2010's Top 20 releases.

(older news about the topic:)

The Los Angeles-based Holy Grail have finished recording their sophomore album 'Ride the Void' - the follow-up to 'Crisis in Utopia', named one of Revolver's Top 20 albums of 2010 - which they tracked with producer Matt Hyde (Slayer, Hatebreed, Children of Bodom) on and off throughout the year, working around national tours with Dragonforce and Valient Thorr.

Says vocalist James Paul Luna, "Album finished! You don't know how good those words feel! Day after day and month after month, we've been listening back, tweaking and fine-tuning this wretched beast of an album we call 'Ride the Void.' Finally, after many hours in the cave, we can gladly say it's done.

To top it all off, I woke up to an e-mail saying we're opening for Sebastian Bach! WTF?! Sebastian is one of those rare dudes that was glam yet still kept it gritty and tough and that's what I'm all about. I think it's the Canadian in him that keeps him raw. Needless to say, we are thrilled to support a legendary voice such as his. And did I already mention the album is finished? Damn, still can't get over that! Shred on!"

Over the past three years, Holy Grail - praised by Decibel for their "fret-burning arena anthems that are nothing if not completely and utterly infectious" - have played some of metal's biggest international stages (Wacken, Download, Loud Park, Soundwave) and toured with the likes of Amon Amarth, Blind Guardian, Exodus and more.

The album will be released by Prosthetic Records later this year.
