Dehumanized sign with Comatose Music; new album 'Controlled Elite' on its way
New York death metal veterans Dehumanized recently inked a multi-album contract with US record label Comatose Music.
The history of Dehumanized dates back to the mid-90s, an era that saw the rise of several legendary New York death metal acts, not the least of which included Suffocation, Internal Bleeding, and Pyrexia. In 1998 Dehumanized released their debut album 'Prophecies Foretold'. The album was a savage crash course into the classic style of New York slam death metal. As a result of this impressive release they are now considered by many as one of the bands who helped define and shape the undeniable sound and feel of New York death metal.
Sadly in 2000 Dehumanized broke up. They reformed in 2004 only to break up once again in 2007. Finally in 2011 Dehumanized resurfaced with a solid line up and new music. In addition, they are performing live again, which has included several large festivals.
'Controlled Elite' will be the title of the new Dehumanized album scheduled for world wide release on November 27th via Comatose Music.
"All of us in Dehumanized are extremely excited to be a part of Comatose Music and 2013 is going to be the year to remember for all fans of Dehumanized," says George Torres, drummer and founding member. "We want to spread this new album like the plague!"
Controlled Elite picks up right where Prophecies Foretold left off over 14 years ago with bludgeoning blast beats and plenty of old school NYC style grooves with colossal audio production! Comatose Music's Steve Green has this to say about the upcoming release: "Being a long-time fan of Dehumanized I am absolutely honored to be working with these guys. This new album is crushing and proves that Dehumanized is back with a vengeance!"
'Controlled Elite' was recorded at Full Force Studio in Long Island, NY and engineered by Joe Cincotta.
