Avantasia: new album 'The Mystery of Time' out in March 2013

Avantasia's sixth album 'The Mystery of Time' will be released on March 29th, 2013, by Nuclear Blast Records.

In March the new Avantasia album 'The Mystery Of Time' will be released. The list of featured artists who have been confirmed for the album reads like a who-is-who in Rock and Metal: Biff Byford (Saxon), Ronnie Atkins (Pretty Maids), Michael Kiske (Unisonic, ex-Helloween), Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon, ex-Vengeance), Bruce Kulick (GFR, ex-Meat Loaf, ex-Kiss) have been confirmed so far, others will be announced soon. Now another legend of Rock history has been announced: Eric Martin of US-platinum sellers Mr. Big is singing a role on the album and will join Avantasia on stage during the "Mystery World Tour", starting in April. Get your tickets soon, for the European non-festival indoor shows Avantasia have announced a 3-hour-show.

Today we have breathtaking news for all Avantasians: The new album will be called 'The Mystery of Time', and is set for release in March 2013 on Nuclear Blast Records.

Immediately after the release of this new metal opera, based on a story written by Tobias Sammet, the band will embark on a full-fledged indoor-tour, during which the band and special guests will bring the epic undertaking to the stage. Due to embracing all of the different eras and history of Avantasia these shows will have an extended playing time, and the whole evening will be dedicated to Avantasia with no support acts. Guests and album details will be announced soon!

Musicians who have been confirmed as guests on the CD so far are Uriah Heep drummer Russell Gilbrook, producer and guitarist Sascha Paeth, former Kiss & Meat Loaf guitarist Bruce Kulick, and of course Tobias on bass and vocals. Now we can announce the name of the next guest star: New Wave Of British Heavy Metal legend Biff Byford from Saxon will sing one role on this forth-coming epic.
