Crystalic
Crystalic return
Finnish death metallers Crystalic have made a comeback. This band from Tampere split up in 2011, as forming guitarist Toni Tieaho wanted to try something else than metal in his musical career.
However, Mr. Tieaho found his fire for metal again, and ended up playing with ex-keyboard player Felipe Muñoz. New material sounded very Crystalic. After all, Toni Tieaho was the main composer in Crystalic.
Drummer Janne Noponen, vocalist Marko Eskola and old Crystalic bass player Arto Tissari were introduced to the band in 2012. Right after the first composing session it was clear, that Crystalic would return.
Newborn Crystalic recorded their first new song, 'Scion', with Jussi Kulomaa at MSTR Studio in November 2012. The band noticed, that their chemistry was very much there and working, and the new lineup brought in elements, that rose the band's music to a totally new level. On 'Scion', there's flashy drumming, melodic keyboard parts, aggressive guitar riffs and catchy solos, plus varying vocals and original fretless bass patterns. The song is, above all, a manifesto for Crystalic's comeback.
'Scion can be heard at Inferno's website at this location: http://www.inferno.fi/uutiset/inferno-tarjoaa-kuuntele-uunituore-crystalic-biisi .
At the moment, the band are working on their third full-length album, still composing and arranging new songs.
The band commented: "Big thanks to all the fans, who have supported and kept the band alive when it was laying in a grave. A huge thank you, see you at gigs!"
