Eyehategod drummer Joey LaCaze passed away

Longtime Eyehategod drummer Joey LaCaze died earlier today. He also played in Mystick Krewe Of Clearlight and Outlaw Order

Doctors confirmed to family members that the cause of death was respiratory failure. He also suffered from long term asthma.

LaCaze was with Eyehategod since the band's inception on 4/20/88, and was also involved with other bands such as Outlaw Order, Ten Suicides, and Italian Cemetery Suicide. Eyehategod had just completed a European run and were gearing up for a string of shows celebrating their 25th anniversary. At this point, there is no word on the status of these shows, and obviously there are more pressing matters at hand.
