Iron Savior: new album 'Rise of the Hero' out next month

German power metal heros Iron Savior's 8th studio album 'Rise of the Hero' will be out in February 28th, 2014, via AFM Records. However, Japanese edition will be available earlier; on February 19th, via Avalon Online.

Iron Savior news from the studio:

"Hey Folks,
Hope you are all well. We are on the final approach finishing the new album scheduled for Feb 28th 2014. The drum recordings went really smooth. Thomas did a great job again and his Premier Kit sounds so damned good again. Looks pretty much like a total sample free album again. Jan is laying down his bass tracks and I will get back to vocals and mixing right after finishing the mix of the new Stormwarrior album (which will be awesome). We also did a nice fotosession for the album artwork while Felipe is working at full throttle on the artwork. Final delivery dead line for the audio master is Dec 18th. We also managed to come up with some nice video shots which will be cut within the next 2 weeks. So stay tuned for a first little teaser song on YouTube.

German metallers Iron Savior are putting the finishing touches on the songwriting for the band's new album (their 8th full length one) for a February 28, 2014 release via AFM Records. The drums for the CD will be recorded at the end of October and the completed album will be delivered to the label by November 25. The cover artwork will be created by Felipe Machado Franco (Blind Guardian, Rhapsody Of Fire).

Here's the message from vocalist/guitarist Piet Sielck:

"Hey Folks,

some news from the IS camp: final approach for finishing songwriting. Working like a maniac to have all songs ready to record by the end of September. I will take 2 week break in Andalusia where I hope to catch some nice swell (I'm a pathetic boogie soft boarder, haha). When getting back to Hamburg by mid of October, I'll start mixing the new Stormwarrior right away, followed seamlessly by recording drums with Thomas for IS. After that all vocals will be nailed to start mixing by early November to deliver everything by the 25th. Keep your fingers crossed that this really tight and ambitious schedule is working out! Release is scheduled for Feb 28th 2014!! Felipe Machado is working on the Artwork already and I can't wait for the first draft... So, that's it for the moment."
