Foscor
Foscor to release a new album and an EP
Spanish black metallers Foscor will release their fourth album 'Those Horrors Wither' on November 25th. A huge step forward for a band which has reinvented itself again after a 14 year career, creating a solid and elaborate album that will place them next to bands like Enslaved, Deathspell Omega or the legendary Ven Buens Ende.
Formed in 1997 in Barcelona (Spain) Foscor is a dark metal band with more than a decade of experience in blending the best of traditional 90s black metal with other classic and modern extreme styles to create a unique sound.
Foscor have released 3 full-length albums, a live DVD commemorating their 10th Anniversary, 2 split releases and have provided contributions on official Katatonia and Enslaved tribute albums. Foscor's 'Those Horrors Wither' comes at a time when the band has honed its considerable musical skills and have decided to take the first gigantic step away from the limits of black metal towards a sound that encompasses shades of dark rock and doom, a healthy flirtation with prog, and majestic interludes. "This is the album," Fiar (bass/vocals) says, "where anyone can recognise what has always been wandering in our heads and hearts. And maybe because of our previous technical and/or emotional limitations, we had not been able to capture." Until now.
The album will be available on gatefold vinyl and CD digipak. It will be out on November 25th, 2014 via Alone Records 2014.
