Noekk: 'The Grimalkin'

German hard rock / prog / metal nature mystics Noekk will release their sophomore album, titled 'The Grimalkin', on May 19th through Prophecy Productions.

"Noekk's music is born from total intuition. It comes to me when I'm all alone and able to listen to my inner voice." Funghus Baldachin, the mastermind behind the band aims "to capture the magicof the moment and to tell long, mad stories" with his music. Cheating any musical expectations, he and his companion F.F. Yuggoth have recorded three peregrinations branching out in all directions, where "adventures are possible on every side of the road" according to the powerful-voiced singer. But who is it that might want to join these two musicians on their journey? "Basically, 'The Grimalkin' is an exciting album for all fans of prog rock", says Baldachin. "We branch into vintage hard rock, get lost in folkloristic thickets, follow an invitation from doom metal and..." -- the versatile musician comments amused -- "we won't refrain from slimy epic stuff either!"
