Ingested
Ingested join Unique Leader Records' roster
Extreme metal powerhouse, Unique Leader Records, is pleased to welcome British death metal unit, Ingested, to their expanding realm of sonic brutality.
The band commented: "We're very excited to be a part of this record label. They have an amazing roster of bands that we all love. We're currently writing a new album and will be recording later this year!"
Forged in 2006 in Manchester, England from previous incarnation, Age Of Suffering, Ingested has released three studio albums and two EPs. They signed with UK-based Siege Of Amida Records in 2008, then with Century Media in 2015. Their third full-length, the critically-lauded 'The Architect of Extinction, was released in January of 2015. The band will level stages throughout the US this Summer as part of this year's "Summer "Slaughter Tour featuring Cannibal Corpse, Nile and Suffocation among so many others. The trek comes in advance of the band's forthcoming new full-length, slated for release via Unique Leader later this year.

Fundamentally inspired by the late '90s early '00s American brutal death metal scene, Ingested later incorporated elements of the rising deathcore scene into their already vicious sound. Following their debut album, 'Surpassing the Boundaries of Human Suffering' (2009), Ingested earned critical and cult success. Kerrang Magazine gave the album a 4/5 score stating, "they're likely to scare some of the death metal big boys out of their path on the way to the top." Terrorizer Magazine concurred with an 8.5/10 rating and nominated them for Best Newcomer in their 2009 year-end wrap-up. Subsequent to this release, Ingested played major UK festivals including "Damnation Deathfest" supporting Vader and Repulsion on the mainstage, as well as "Hellfire Festival", and "Ghost Fest" which included Whitechapel, Sylosis, and Despised Icon. In January of 2010, Ingested embarked on their first European tour with The Black Dahlia Murder, 3 Inches Of Blood, The Faceless, and Carnifex.
The band's sophomore album, 'The Surreption', arrived just one year later. The band adopted a more melodic and mature approach, recruiting guest vocal talents of Alex Erian from Canadian band Despised Icon. A month prior to its release, Ingested toured with fellow UK outfits Annotations Of An Autopsy and Martyr Defiled across the UK and Europe. 2012 saw the outfit play another headlining UK tour and their fourth "Ghost Fest" with The Black Dahlia Murder, Emmure, and Comeback Kid on the main stage. They also played the European travelling tour, "Extremefest", featuring Exodus, Suffocation, and Origin, after which they wrote their self-released EP 'Revered by No One, Feared by All'.
