Nighon: new album 'The Somme' out in May; msuic video for 'The Greatest of Catastrophes' released
Finnish "symphonic shock metal" band Nighon's sophomore full-length album 'The Somme' will be release on May 5th, 2017, via Inverse Records.
The album was recorded during spring and summer 2016. Drum recordings took place at Soundspiral Audio Studio wih Juho Räihä. Other stuff was recorded at Nighon home studio. Mathias Lillmåns (Finntroll, Magenta Harvest etc.) have produced the album with the band, and appears on vocals on 'I Fear for Tomorrow'. The album was mixed and mastered by Fredrik Nordström and Henrik Udd at Studio Fredman in Göteborg, Sweden.

The song titles indicate, the lyrical topics deal with World Wars, their similarities and crises what we see in the world today. The album sound more radical when compared to the debut, and the band have widened their spectrum. The first music video 'The Greatest of Catastrophes' is a mixture of the start of WWI and the Ukrainian crisis.
