Diablo release 'Prince of the Machine' music video; start composing new music
Finnish heavy groove metallers Diablo are starting the work on new music. They released 'Prince of the Machine' music video before entering the composing mode. Here is a message from guitar player Marko Utriainen:
"I'd like to thank all of you Diablo fans who have been with us during the last couple of years after we came back from the long break we needed to take to accomplish 'Silvër Horizon' album. With the good reception of the album and sold out gigs you enabled us to do the comeback in a decent manner. You've definitely given us fascinating moments on the gigs which we will never forget. I think we really owe you a great deal now and we're willing to put in our best effort to write new songs faster than during the last break.
"Looking back now I see how hard the whole process of making 'Silvër Horizon' actually was. We didn't want to cut any corners in the process which caused us a lot of headache during the long evenings and nights that it finally took to make the album happen. But I can tell you that I'm still as proud as ever for it and for me it is easily the best Diablo album. Actually, the only sad thing is that we haven't been able to do any gigs outside Finland to show you guys that we can actually manage the songs live on the stage too. I can assure you that those songs are VERY challenging for all the band members, so hopefully we will get our chance to tour outside Finland at some point.
"Now it is time to concentrate on new material. Luckily, we don't need to start from scratch but we actually do already have some very promising ideas on the hard disk. Thematically we will come back to earth again and if I got it right from what Mr. Nygård is telling me about his ideas on the lyrics. It's going to deal with the sea (again!) I hear, so I need to focus hard to translate the feeling to the music too. I don't dare to say anything specific about the release schedule. However, the motivation to deliver sooner rather than later is there thanks to all of you who bought the album and came to see us live! Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy the 'Prince of the Machine' video."
