Emphasis sign with Red Rivet Records; 2nd album 'Soul Transfer' out next year

In July Estonian progressive metallers Emphasis have revealed details for their second album, 'Soul Transfer'. The concept album, consisting of 14 tracks, will be released worldwide in early 2018 on the label Red Rivet Records (Japan).

The band has repeatedly noted that they got an unexpected result due to the huge number of musical experiments: "Obviously, this album has a lot of jazz influences. Our guest musicians did an excellent job! So far, this is our most serious work for us. It's more progressive than a symphonic metal album. And we're happy about that!"

'Soul Transfer' was recorded at StoneOil Studio (Kivioli, Estonia) by Pavel Korotaev, guitarist, and songwriter of Emphasis. 5 guest musicians also took part in the work on the album, including well-known Estonian jazzmen Raul Sööt (saxophone) and Allan Järve (trumpet), blues guitarist Oleg Lyutskevich (Moscow, Russia), violoncellist Alexandr Smirnov and violinist Julia Mets. 'Soul Transfer' is totally a concept album: the story of a man, his fate and enticing prospects of eternal life in the context of global digitalization.

Female fronted progressive metal act Emphasis was formed in 2010 in Estonia, a small country in Northern Europe, by bassist Katya Gritskova and guitarist Pavel Korotaev. Their music is a mix of classical harmonies, heavy guitar riffs and powerful operatic vocals of their gorgeous front lady Anna Ganina. For the last five years, the band played dozens of shows in Baltics and Finland. Their debut full-length album 'Revival' was released in spring 2016 under Italian label Underground Symphony and received a lot of positive reviews.

The label Red River Records was founded in early 2009 in Japan. They have worked with a lot of metal bands from over the globe as a distributor, organizing Japanese tours as a promoter so far.
