Be'lakor
News from Be'lakor camp
"Firstly then, the new album. We feel like right now this fifth album has a bit of a mix of all three of our past releases. It has some real riff-driven, head-banging 'Of Breath and Bone' style riffs. It has some 'Stone's Reach' style melodic riffs with those hints of folk. It has some of the atmospheric 'Vessels' style sections as well. And of course, we are trying to bring new elements here and there too. It's always exciting to be making a new album and we can't wait to share this one with you guys. We still have more writing to do on it, and that's why in 2018 we are not playing live and are focusing our energy on creating the music!
'Stone's Reach' re-pressed for vinyl - We are really proud to be releasing a new run of 'Stone's Reach' on vinyl, after the first run sold out a few years ago. This is a special limited-to-500 pressing on marble (gold/black), released through Napalm Records. Pre-order now available.
We also recently got some lovely custom artwork created to capture sections of the story told on 'Vessels'. This art can be seen in the form of two cool new t-shirts - our "Luma" shirt and also our "The Smoke of Many Fires" shirt, both of which are available through our official Be'lakor store here.
The latter's art also appears on a nifty new patch, available through Napalm Records.
On the topic of updates, Steve (keys/piano) recently had a chat with the guys from A&P Reacts over on Youtube. The interview covers a whole range of topics. Go check it out.
Last but certainly not least... new projects. We have a lot in the works. Obviously the new album is on top of that list. But we are also extremely pleased to let you guys know that, after many years of being asked, we are finally working on official tab books for you. The first one we'll have ready on our store will be a tab book for 'Of Breath and Bone'. Keep an eye out for it!
We're also cooking up two or three other nice surprises, and a few more new t-shirts too.
Thanks to you all for listening to our tunes, and for remembering that we exist even when we vanish for a while to write new music!
Until next time,
Be'lakor"
