Grave Digger: 'The Living Dead' album information + other news

German heavy metal band Grave Digger have have been working on their next full-length album. After a two months lasting songwriting process, a month lasting pre-production and a almost three months of recording and mixing time, the new Grave Digger album named 'The Living Dead' will be released worldwide September 14th by Napalm Records.

Guitarist Axel Ritt commented: "Singer Chris Boltendahl and I have looked far beyond the classic Grave Digger plate edge on this album and composed a total of 12 tracks, which on the one hand contain all the trademarks of a true True German Metal album and on the other hand starts the band compositionally and artificially to a new one start high flight."

Parallel to the new album the band are going on an extensive European tour titled "Tour of the Living Dead!", which begins after the upcoming festival season on January 11th 2019 in Hannover (Germany) and ends on February 9th 2019 in Tel Aviv (Israel). As support the Swiss Burning Witches will accompany Grave Digger.

"Anyone who knows me knows that I can only keep my feet still for a short time. So it does not surprise me that now that the production of the new Grave Digger album is finished, I am going to dedicate myself to a project that has been haunting my head for years, but that could have only be realized by building my new studio.

Now, that the work has been completed, I will create my solo project Ironfinger, which will be quite different from the typical solo albums of many colleagues. I am bored with solo albums, which in principle reproduce the same music as the main band, in which the colleague plays, are sung by hired guns and enriched with even more unnecessary noodle guitar solos, to death.

In order to get around the thousandth repetition of this concept, the project will be different both soundwise and conceptually from everything I have done so far, without denying my roots in rock and metal.
