Dimmu Borgir: 'In Sorte Diaboli'

Something's coming... Something that's even bigger than the fact that Norwegian Dimmu Borgir will release their long awaited album on April 27th. On top of that, 'In Sorte Diaboli' is also gonna be the first concept album in the band`s history.

The album's story will be set in medieval Europe. "There's this dude that works as a priest's assistant, and after a while he just discovers that he has nothing to do with Christianity", guitarist Silenoz explains what the concept album is about. "He just sort of has this awakening and realizes that he has different abilities and different powers and is leaning more to the dark side..."

To make the story clearer, not only the lyrics for the songs will be printed in the booklet, but you will also get a short synopsis introducing the listener to the plot.

The album was mixed in Studio Fredman in Göteborg by producers Fredrik Nordström and Patrik J. Sten. Dimmu Borgir recorded it in the following line up that is expected to stay: Shagrath (vocals), Silenoz (guitars), Galder (guitars), I.C.S. Vortex (bass), Mustis (keyboards) and Hellhammer (drums).
