Scour unleash 'Flames' music video

'The Black EP' from Scour, the extreme metal unit featuring Philip H. Anselmo (Pantera, Down, En Minor, et al), John Jarvis (Agoraphobic Nosebleed), Derek Engemann (Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals), Mark Kloeppel (Misery Index), and Adam Jarvis (Pig Destroyer, Lock Up), was released last Friday.

Track listing:
1. Doom (03:01)
2. Nail (02:29)
3. Propaganda (01:56)
4. Flames (02:52)
5. Microbes (02:03)
6. Subprime (03:33)

Mixed and mastered by Ryan Vincent at Apollo Audio Alternative with vocals and drums engineered by Stephen "Big Fella" Berrigan (Down, Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals, Eyehategod), the EP includes guest appearances from Erik Rutan of Hate Eternal, Pat O'Brien of Cannibal Corpse, and actor Jason Momoa (Dune, Game Of Thrones, Aquaman, et al) and serves as the installment release of the band's EP trilogy.

The band released the second music video off the new EP, titled 'Flames':

Earlier this month, the firswt single, 'Propaganda', was unleashed. Commented Anselmo: "We've all been inundated with propaganda over our entire lifetimes. The modern day is no different, and this song drives the point home. If I were to take a song like '5 Minutes Alone' and cut it with clips of Steve Martin and Cheech $ Chong, it would make about as much sense as the Scour 'Propaganda' video. A couple all time favorites, Boris Karloff and Vincent Price, can be seen in clips from some of some notable horror films."

Scour derives its sound from an intentional minimalist approach. Displaying an emphasis on cohesive song writing and direct composition ideas, exhibited through relentless battery, the band brims with creepy and ominous hooks, dark and macabre vocals, blasting drums, and buzzsaw guitars to get straight to the point. Drawing influences from all extreme entities, Scour self continues to pay homage to some of metal's most prominent acts as can be heard with the 2019 release of their cover of Bathory's 'Massacre'.

In its short existence, the band has graced the stages of many of the major players in both the mainstream and metal-oriented music festival circuits including Roskilde, Hellfest, Tecate Metal Festival, Maryland Deathfest, and more. As the lineage of its membership suggests, Scour continues to be a proverbial force with which to be reckoned both on the stage and in the studio.
