Lawnmower Deth return with a new album 'Blunt Cutters'
Brand new album 'Blunt Cutters', from legendary garden machinery-obsessed thrashers Lawnmower Deth (from England), will be released on January 28, 2022, via Dissonance Records (vinyl on June 24, 2022).
'Blunt Cutters' is the first album since 1993's 'Billy', and sees the band return to the glory days of oddball comedic thrash made famous by such landmark releases as 'Ooh Crikey, It's... Lawnmower Deth' (1990) and 'Return of the Fabulous Metal Bozo Clowns' (1992)
Lawnmower Deth were formed in Nottingham in 1987, the band split in '94 but reunited when asked to support Bullet For My Valentine at Alexandra Palace in 2008. A regular on the festival circuit, they have graced Download six times, Bloodstock three times (most recently headlining the Sophie Lancaster stage in 2021 as well as Hammerfest, Damnation and many more.
Noted for their enduring cover of Kim Wilde's classic 'Kids in America', the relationship with the '80s pop star has endured, including a 2016 guest live appearance at Download the following year's Christmas single 'F U Kristmas'.
Lawnmower Deth have also been adopted by Radio 2, enjoying a long association and many guest appearances on the Simon Mayo show, to which they also supplied the theme tune for the weekly "Dr Mosh" feature.
Now comes the return – a brand new album produced by Chris Clancy (Massive Wagons, Those Damn Crows) and the promise of more live shows.
'Blunt Cutter' will be out on CD and limited transparent red 12" vinyl.
