Norwegian black metal band Ragnarok announce new bassist

Norwegian black metal horde Ragnarok, who have been active since 1994, have added a bass player to their line-up. His name is Mark Azzopardi, and he's known from bands such as Draugûl, Khaospath and Martyrium (ex-member).

Ragnarok former John Thomas "Jontho" Bratland commented: "I am proud to announce that we now have a full time bass player in Ragnarok. Soon the line up is complete and the insanity continues! Be aware! Keep on reading what Mark 'Vargblod' Azzopardi say about this himself."

Vargblod's words: "I am pleased and proud to announce that I am now the official bassist with the mighty Norwegian black metal band Ragnarok! A Bband that needs no introduction to all enthusiasts of the genre! Have been following the band for years of course and it is with great honor that I now step in to fill in the shoes on bass! A very exciting point in my musical career and sure as Hell, the black flame is still burning bright!

I am Hellcommander Vargblod, and some may know me from my current and previous bands including Myronath, Khaospath, Martyrium and my one man band Draugûl. The flame of black metal was ignited in me back in 1995/96 and since then it has never diminished. The passion for this style was actually one of the main reasons that I moved to Scandinavia from my homeland, which is Malta. To be at one with the majestic forces of the Northern Lands gave me the true inspiration to delve deeper into the realm of black metal, and thus shall it continue to be."
