Steve Grimmett dead

English heavy metal vocalist Steve Grimmett suddenly passed away at the age of 62 on Monday 15th August.

Steve's first band was Medusa, which was formed in 1979 when he was 16 years old. After two demos, they split up in 1982. After this, Steve joined Grim Reaper, the legendary NWOBHM band also formed in 1979. After three big albums, it ended in 1988, but was resurrected by Steve as Steve Grimmett's Grim Reaper (due to legal reasons). Two albums were released, in 2016 and 2019.

Steve also was part of thrash metal band Onslaught, and featured on 'In Search of Sanity' album, which came out in 1989. He sung in Lionheart, The Sanity Days and many other bands during his time.
