Gomorran drummer Olli Lappalainen passed away

Death metal band Gomorran's drummer Olli Lappalainen unexpectedly passed away in his home. He was 30 years old.

The band's message:

"It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear friend and bandmate Olli Petteri Lappalainen.

Gomorran was formed by Olli back in the fall of 2019. Since then we have come a long way from a band with no songs and no band members to recording our first EP during the spring of 2021.
It is no exaggeration when we say that Olli was the greatest force carrying Gomorran forward. Whether it was writing music, organizing gigs, dealing with social media, ordering merch, or planning the band's future, Olli was always taking the lead. There is so much we would have wanted to show you guys in the following months.

Gomorran as a band enters now an indefinite hiatus. Nevertheless, we would like to take this opportunity to thank our friends, family and fans for the support we got along the way. You meant the world to us and Olli cherished every fan and encouraging message we got from you. A big thank you also to all the bands we've had the pleasure to play shows with.

Take care of yourself and your loved ones. Life is short.
