Kalmah's new album out in May

Finnish melodic death metal band Kalmah's new, self-titled, album will be released on May 26th via Ranka Kustannus. It was mixed by Mikko Karmila and mastered by Mika Jussila.

The band commented:

"Good news, Swampheads! Our long-awaited ninth album 'Kalmah' is officially set for release on May 26. To top the digital and CD releases, there will also be a limited edition vinyl release of the album.
As there are still a couple of months to go, we'll treat you to another sneak peek of what is to come with the new single 'Drifting in a Dream' released this Friday, March 24."

Finnish melodic death metal band have at lat unleashed a new song. The band's previous release, the 8th full-length album 'Palo' came out in April 2018.

The new song is called 'Haunted by Guilt', and is the first single-cut from the forthcoming album.

The message of the song, in the nut shell is, that mankind should not destroy Earth in building bigger and bigger profit, but could easily do with less.

The band commented: "'Haunted by Guilt' was the very first song written for the upcoming album. The opening riff needed a long time to shape out, but immediately after the twisted melody took physical form, the perfect match was ready. All in all, the song has some new vibe for Kalmah, yet the typical sound of pure swamp metal is of course strongly present. And that, my friends, means no digital-over-polished-shit but real amps and raw playing. Interpretation of the message of the song is left for the listeners to decide. We hope you'll enjoy."
