Crimson Dawn

Crimson Dawn: 'It Came from the Stars' album out in April

The Italian epic doom metal band Crimson Dawn's fourth full-length album 'It Came from the Stars' will be published via Punishment 18 Records on April 28th, 2023.

Track listing:
1. Prospero's Castle
2. The Masque of Red Death
3. Hunter's Dream
4. Fade Away
5. Nera Sinfonia
6. Solace in Death
7. The Ringmaster
8. Of Gods and Mortals
9. The Colour out of Space

Once again created by Mattia Stancioiu, the cover is a clear indication of the will of the band to keep exploring the atmosphere of the works and mythos of writers like H. P. Lovecraft and E. A. Poe in their music.

The first pressing will include a bonus disc with the CD version of the EP 'The Open Coffin', previously released only digitally in 2022.

1. The Open Coffin
2. Nowhere Man
3. Thulsa Doom and the Cult of the Snake (2021)
4. Dark Ride (2022)

Based on the short story by Edgar Allan Poe by the same name, 'The Masque of Red Death' is a perfect showcase for the epic heaviness of the new Crimson Dawn opus, led by the front from the powerful vocals of our new singer, Claudio Cesari. A perfect appetizer for what we believe can be one of the most exciting releases of the year in epic doom!

The band commented about the video: "The images you'll find in it were created by Midjourney, and then animated by our trusted lyrics video maker, Tiago Silva. We are now aware of the controversy surrounding AI art, but when the video was created, we weren't. We thought it was just a cool new technology - we didn't have the insight that we have now, so we didn't know the engine of that program had been trained to copy existing art without the artists' consent.
So, while we enjoy the result, it's not an experiment we will repeat in the future. We respect artists and we will always support them. We just couldn't pull a video already done and paid for - we're an underground band - but rest assured we will be careful in the future."
