Atrophy return with 'Asylum' album next month

Arizona thrashers Atrophy put out lauded albums in 1988 and 1990, and while been active later on, are finally putting out new music.

'Asylum', the band's third full-length album, will be released on March 15th, 2024, via Massacre Records.

The album was produced at Second Sight Studio, Atlanta, GA, USA, by Alex Parra. The artwork was created by Romulo Dias.

The album will be available as Jewel Case CD and limited edition vinyl LP as well as in digital formats.

the band commented: "What [can] you expect? Real drums! We have no samples on this album . Heavy guitars, as usual lyrics are pretty much, the same as before. We did tune down one step, so it's not modern sounding. We did not go overboard with this. We have one guest appearance from Kragen Lum from Heathen; he did a beautiful lead on one of the songs, thank you to him for everything! This album was completed in December 2022. We spent a year in production working with three different top notch producers to find the right sound!"
