History
From the ashes of Japanese black metal band Magane comes Zombie Ritual, one of the new leading forces of the extreme metal underground. Mixing elements of brutal death metal, old school thrash and grisly goregrind, Zombie Ritual create a unique metal attack from beyond the grave that will rot your brains and make you ripe for the invasion of the living dead.
In the early summer of 2003, the band was formed by previous bandmates Dr. Hatred (vocals), Alcohol (guitar), Vlood (guitar), Eucharist (bass), and rounded off with newcomer GxSx (drums). October 2003 saw the release of the band's first demo, 'Fast and Alcoholic', which featured three songs of intense zombie chaos, fueled by beer and an insatiable hunger for human meat. Not long after, the band played their first live show in Japan. Unfortunately, Eucharist failed to appear for the performance. Zombie Ritual was forced to shamble on as a 4-piece, with Vlood changing his weapon of choice to bass.
The band's first full length album, 'Night of the Zombie Party', was released through Razorback Records on December 7th, 2004. The album was received extremely well, and countless reviews heralded it as a successful throwback to the glorious days of old school death/thrash metal.
Vlood decided to leave the band in early May of 2006, and now with a new bassist, Zombie Ritual is drunker, deader, and better than ever. The time has come to surrender your flesh to the onslaught, and join the Zombie Party!
