History
The birth of Demonseed began in May of 1997. They started with the original lineup consisting of Carlos Casillas (lead guitar), Richard Diaz (drums), Harold Moose (vocals) and Jeremy Bousson (bass).
In April of 1998 Bousson was replaced by Eric Croson (bass & vocals) who won the spot and surprised the band by learning the whole set in one week. Starting out Demonseed played with some very respected names in the business such as Cryptopsy, Gorguts, Vader, Disgorge, Skinless, Prophecy, Devourment, and so many more.
Just after the release of our first 3-song demo in December of 1999, entitled 'Sick as Fuck Texas Death"', with songs including 'Death Day Comes', 'Centuries' and 'Scenario #1', Moose went missing for a few weeks and was replaced by Robert "Whitey" Adams, former vocals of Creeping Jesus. Whitey proved himself as a showman with a great stage presence and a vicious attack.
Around the year 2000, there were problems on the homefront for the original drummer Richard Diaz, who decided to take time off to settle some affairs. He was replaced with Dave Mantooth formerly of Bethaven and White Knuckle. Mantooth proved that he played fast and brutal with a special beat all his own. Unfortunately, though Mantooth is extremely talented, these two styles did not match. He was replaced for a short time with "Hensley" Sourevong formally of Irreverance. When Richard finalized things at home, he rejoined his beloved Demonseed and proved that he hadn't lost his vicious touch.
Whitey's extreme vocals remained with Demonseed for the next year or so until he decided to form White Knuckle. He was soon replaced with Jimi Moore of Irreverance. Jimi soon transferred all of his guttural lows and high-pitched visceral screams solely to Demonseed in 2002. Even though the foundation of Demonseed had been formed, there was still something missing. This missing link was discovered by Jimi in 2003. Bobby "Junior" Tillitson (guitarist) formerly of Mudflap and Bruhilda finally added the extra brutality that Demonseed had been searching for.
With the crew finally together, the band played shows with such bands as Suffocation, Morbid Angel, Superjoint Ritual, Devil Driver, Mortician, Exodus, Damageplan, and many more.
Demonseed is death metal at it's sickest, with gut wrenching visual props like severed heads on meat hooks and rotting corpses. The intelligent serial killer-inspired lyrics along with the stage show WILL MENTALLY & PHYSICALLY SCAR YOU FOREVER!!! It is every thing death metal SHOULD BE in one fucking band! Fast, catchy as fuck, and sometimes technical, yet FUCKING BRUTAL, Demonseed is the number one most requested local band on KNON heavy 89.3 FM, Dallas, TX's only death metal station, the only voice of the people.
