The Zombi
History
Finnish death metal band Zombi were formed in late 2003, when Kuolio (Paavo Härkönen) and Kallo (Ville Vuorinen) were awoken from their eternal slumber by an inhuman lust for human flesh and a desire to design music so brutal it would make mortal ears rot.
Finland's Zombi was threatened with a lawsuit by Relapes Records, because the US label had a band called Zombi in their roster. So they changed their name to The Zombi.
Drummer Rutto (Aki Kuusinen) joined the band and the band released their debut EP 'Appetite for Flesh' in June 2007.
The second EP, 'The Rottening' (limited to 100 copies), came out in April 2009.
The Zombi was shot in the head in 2010.
