Demise
History
Demise was formed in early 1995, by L. Rambo (drums) and Andrzej "Sin" Bragiel (guitar). After a few months, Przemysla "Ozz" Ozga (guitar & vocals) and Kons (bass) joined. With this line up, they started working on their music and style.
In August of 1996, Demise recorded the first demo, 'Outcome of...'. Professional sound, aggresive melodic songs and a lot of emotions, in black/death metal style. It was something new and fresh on the polish metal scene at that time. 'Outcome of...' gained great reviews in the underground scene, in Europe. Demise published this material via Immortal Records / Demonic / Metal Mind at the beginning of 1997.
Later, the band played several shows in Poland, from small gigs to large festivals. Lots of fresh ideas and unique climate leads the band to be more active. Their first album 'Like a Thorn', was released in September of '97 by Metal Mind Productions (biggest Polish label), and showed Demise's worth and talent. Many magazines called it the album of the year.
At this time, L. Rambo, joined the band Moon, and did, 'Satan's Wept' album on Pagan/Impact Records. After this time, it was a first line-up change for Demise. Lukasz "B-Low" Wierzbinski became the new bass player in Demise.
In December of 1999, the band recorded a second album 'God Insect', which was issued by Koch International/Demonic. The album's sound is very modern material and quite futuristic. After playing numerous shows, and doing interviews, the band started having problems with the manager and label. They were not able to get good promotion and distribution for 'God Insect', because unfortunately the label folded. At this time L Rambo, started to play with another band, Damnation. On September 11th, 2001 the band recorded a two-song promo CD and said "good bye" to the manager.
Demise was looking for a new honest label all around the world. L. Rambo and Ozz took part in a project called Enter Chaos (with a well known Polish musician and female death metal vocalist Martex). They did the album 'Dreamworker', on Metal Mind Productions and they played with Demise, at the biggest concert (8000 spectators) with Polish metal legends Acid Drinkers. At the second half of 2002 Demise did a tour in USA.
Demise recorded their third album Torture Garden in summer 2003. Album was mixed and mastered by guitar hero - James Murphy, and he also recorded a great guest solo in one of the songs. The third album shows Demise has matured, and has the potential and power and they are still developing their style. Melody, power, aggression and brutality - 21st century metal vision.
