History

Lethal Fire is the personal project of Mr. Alex Giraldo (guitarist from Ibague, Colombia), which he formed in 1997. He has invited musicians for several live shows, but in the studio he records the bass, the guitars and the vocals.

The band has got its name in early 2004 inspirated by fire 'cause it is necessary and at the same time destructive. The first compositions were black death metal type. With the dismantling of almost the whole band, Alex Giraldo is left alone and gets in charge of the compositions which have taken a thrash death style thanks to the rhythms he had created since 1997.

Influences: 80's Metal bands such as Slayer, Sodom, Destruction, Megadeth, and Colombian bands such as Neurosis and Masacre.

The band's debut release, 'Vengeance is Mine!' EP, was recorded at Signo Records in Ibague, Colombia, South America with the help of Oscar Labrador (engineering and mixing), the drums were made by computer specialized software. The record process lasted two days: March 24th (drums and bass section) and April 3rd (guitars and vocals section) There weren't any bad moments. Alex liked the final result. The song 'Into Battlefields' speaks about the wars in the different parts of the world and the suffering of another youths; the next song 'Terrorland' speaks about our war in Colombia, this country has beauty places, but the terror is in most places and the pain is present; the next song is called 'Midnight Souls' the inspiration is from the book 'Thus Spoke Zarathustra' of F. Nietzsche, it's instrumental; and the fourth song is in Spanish: 'Maldad' (= evil) Alex wrote that lyric in 1992 and the music in 2002.

In 2007 Viceral Vomit Records from Costa Rica released 'Vengeance Is Mine!' EP on tape and CD-r. At the same time Lethal Fire did the recordings of a full lenght CD entitled 'Rain of Fire'. Alex Giraldo recorded the bass and the guitars again, and the guest singer from Twilight Glimmer, Leo Pinzón, recorded the vocals.

On February 29th 2008 Eternal Night Records released 'Rain Of Fire' CD it features 8 new songs composed by Alex Giraldo, a Skid Row cover 'Slave to the Grind' and the video of the song 'Midnight Souls'.
