Wreckage

History

Wreckage is a Belgian thrash metal band from Haaltert, aiming to bring back old school thrash metal back to where it should be, in the mind and hearts of all you headbangers out there.

The band was founded in December of 2006 by bassist Davy Stuyck and lead guitarist Gilke Bisback. Vocalist/rhythm guitarist Glenn Maesschalk and drummer Sven Maesschalk joined after Genocide (a band where Davy also used to play in) fell apart.

In February 2007, Gilke Bisback quit the band and in March, Rajan Janssens replaced him. He learned the songs in only two rehearsals and we played our first gig 24th of March in JH Avilo with Nagrach and Sarin.

The 12th of April 2007 we played "Skull Crushing Scumfest", where we opened for bands like Indemnity, The Seventh and My Own Mess (Holland).
