History
Armed Death were created under name Army of Death in December 1989 in Xanthi (Hellas - Greece) by Antonis and Zizis. In January 1991 George joined th eband and our line-up was: Antonis (bass/vocals), Zizis (guitar) and George (drums).
Army of Death recorded the first demo in October ’91 called 'Army of Death', at Rock Sound Studio in Salonica. The demo included an intro and 3 death-thrash tracks. All the copies of that demo have been sold out.
In summer ’92 Army of Death became Armed Death and our drummer George was replaced by Chris. The band start rehearsals immediately with the new line-up, putting a lot of time and work in the new tracks. In January ’93 the second demo was out, entitled 'Vandoun', recorded during the last weeks of 1992 at Studio 5 in Athens. It contains 3 brutal death metal tracks intro ('Vaundoun') and outro.
After the absence of 12 years the group was recreated by the former members Antonis and Zizis with new drummer Themis. In march of 2006 they recorded a new song 'Ancient Souls' and the cover of 'Forest of N’Gai' from Rotting Christ. The songs were recorded and demos re-mastered at studio Nemesis (Kavala). The demos and the 2 new songs were released as 'Return 1991-93...2006...' CD by In Metal We Trust Records. A tape version of 'Return...' was released in July 2007, by Brazilian company Goat Music Records.
