History

The Norwegian death metal scene has been more or less asleep since Cadaver and Darkthrone gave birth to the Norwegain branch of the genre around 1990. Although there were many death metal longsleeves around, most musicians were swallowed by the all consuming black metal movement. Only in recent years has Norway developed a vital and energetic death metal scene. The Oslo region in particular has seen a number of new bands spring forth.

Execration is one of these bands, and are among the most interesting. They work and rehearse hard and are an uncommonly productive unit. They take the task of songwriting seriously, and perform their songs with persuasive delivery
