History

Heresiarh emerged like a phoenix from the ashes of two of the oldest Latvian black metal bands, namely Dark Reign and Alfheim.

Heresiarh's unique brand of symphonic, black, epic heavy metal conjures imagery of a time long gone by, when dragons still crested the skies, and the sword was man's ony judge. Their music, branded by the band themselves as "dragon metal", is of truly epic proportions and should see th band carve their own niche in the open-minded metal commmunity.

The band released their only demo, 'Dragons of War', in 1998 through the label Elven Witchcraft. The band was grabbed by English label Demolition Records. The debut album 'Mythical Beasts and Mediaeval Warfare' was released in 2000.
