History

Melodic thrash and death influenced metal with big choruses, screaming and clean vocals, versatile rhythms and fast guitar tunes. Those are the characteristics of Medicated, band formed in 2005 and located in Helsinki, Finland. Band formed by Samuli Hyttinen (guitar), Jesse Soiletsalo (guitar), Pertti Pätsi (drums), Henri Harell (bass) and Dani Nuutinen (vocals), already took action in 2006 by recording their first, self-titled demo and playing couple of gigs.

In 2007 some line-up changes took place when Aleksi Sihvonen (Imperanon) joined the band as the new vocalist and Jani Kinnunen took over the bass duties. After these changes Medicated was ready to take things to a new level. New songs were written and several live concerts played across southern Finland.

In 2008 the band got to release their second EP called 'Magnum for Amen'. The record received positive feedback in many reviews and the word about Medicated started to spread. This led the band to play more gigs and in January 2009 they had a special chance to show what they were made of. Medicated got the opportunity play the "Kaveria Ei Jätetä" ("Friend is not left behind") tour with some of the biggest names in today's Finnish metal scene including Stam1na and Timo Kotipelto.

During 2010 Medicated recorded a follow-up to the successful 'Magnum for Amen'. In the autumn of that same year the new EP 'Ways to Make You Fall' was released, and the band's original singer Dani joined in again as their new guitar player. The band went to rehearsal mode straight away in order to write new songs, start performing live again and showing the pontential their new line-up has to offer.
