History
Neomortem was formed in 1999 when former members
of Bone Cinder, Lee Landrum (drums) and Joe Moss (guitar) decided to start up a new project. It wasn't until Nic Stone (guitar) joined that they started to develope their own unique sound. Following his addition, in need of a bassist, Pete Orthodoxou was brought in. At that time Joe was planning on taking over the vocal duties but then decided to pick back up the guitar. Upon responding to a local musician ad in December 2001, vocalist Mike Fortier was found. In 2003 Joe decided to leave Neomortem to focus on other musical interest.
Wanting to stray away from the typical "old-school" death metal that once flourished in Florida, Neomortem has created music with blistering fast technical riffs, abrupt time signiture changes and tempos. In January 2004 Neomortem recorded a 3 song demo at Audiohammer Studios.
