History

It's no great secret that Europe has been a hot bed of metal for a very long time. That said Turkey is rarely the first stop on people's hit list for ground breaking new artists. Izmir natives Act however are aiming to change that with their unreal debut record 'World's a Stage'.

Formed in 2012 as a creative collaboration between Kaan Dincer, Harun Icli, Umut Icli, Emin Koklu, Kemal Payzin; Act succeed in bridging the gap between Meshuggah's ferocious rhythms, Lamb Of God-esque staccato vocal work and atonal violence with the melodic power and pangs of Dark Tranquillity styled melodic death metal. Tracks like the masterful 'The Solution' and the visceral 'Fratricidal Quarrel' gleam brightly from an album rich in guttural prowess.
