Dråp
History
Dråp are a band that blends elements of crustcore, death metal, grindcore and even black metal to create their own style.
Formed in the small Northern Swedish town of Sundsvall in January 2013 by vocalist Joachim Lyngfelt. Catharina Ottander, Joachim's mother, passed away from cancer in 2010, and the initial idea was to record an album dedicated to her and not perform live, but when the pieces started falling into place and gig requests rolled in more and more, Dråp became an intense live band.
October 2013 recorded the first album 'En naturlig dåd' ("natural death") which was mixed and mastered by John Henriksson. In May 2014 the band released the vinyl edition by themselves which was limited to 500 copies.
In November 2014 Dråp signed with Xtreem Music. The label will reissue the debut album on CD with one bonus track.
