Voracious Scourge

History

Voracious Scourge is an old school death metal project formed by Jason McIntyre, known as Suture guitarist. The love of late 80's and early 90's death metal fuels the writing behind the project. Voracious Scourge harkens back to the good old days when creating great songs with solid riffs and vocal hooks that grabbed you and stuck in your brain like mental meat hooks, was the mission. Digging in deeper and deeper until you satisfied that urge to hear them again and again.

McIntyre has collected a bunch of well-known musicians around him: Mike Smith (drums; ex-Suffocation), Aad Kloosterwaard (guitar; Sinister [Netherlands]), Tony Choy (bass; ex-Atheist, ex-Cynic, ex-Pestilence), Lance Strickland (bass 2017-2018; Suture), Billy Richard (guitar).

In January 2018, the debut EP 'Our Demise<' was released via Immortal Souls Productions. It features an intro and 4 songs.

The band also appeared on 'Extreme Noize Attack Vol. 01' with Disharmonic Orchestra, Impiety, Master, Morbosidad and/ Hate Legions, with their song 'Fortuity of the Deceived'.
