Upiór

History

Upiór - a demonic being from Slavic folklore, a prototype of the vampire, a person cursed before death - is a symphonic death metal band founded in France/Poland in 2019 as the collaboration project of two old friends Tomasz "Josh" Jaskula (guitars, bass) and Sebastian "Drache" Stachowiak (keyboards).

To date, Upiór have self-released a single, 'Reality 2020' (2020) followed by EP 'Where Dead Angels Lie' (2021), including a Dissection cover of the same title (both released digitally).

The first full-length album, 'The Forest That Grieves', was released in March 2022. It was mixed and mastered in Nostromo Studio – Music Production. The album contains seven tracks intertwined with keyboards intros for each. The music mixes melodic, fast, and powerful riffs with blast beats, and slower, almost progressive sections backed by powerful orchestrations.
