Contorted

History

Contorted, from Bergen, Norway, offer death metal in true Scandinavian form. The band consists of Kristian Brynjulfsen (vocals, rhythm guitar), Johannes Andreassen (lead guitar), Vegard Kanestrom (bass), and Mats Hovden (drums). Although they draw inspiration from the infamous Swedish death metal scene, the band’s focus has always been to make music their own way, with their own vision.

The band debuted with 'Valley of Giants' single on December 9th, 2022.

The second release, 'Deities of Uncreation', is a self-produced EP that conjures a dark atmosphere backed by a dynamic blend of eerie melodies and harmonies. The death and black metal infused vocals lead the songs, which are built upon crushing riffs, an explosive rhythm section, and even progressive elements.
