Amoral's death metal is a great package of familiar things mixed with the band's own identity and adventurous style. This is the band's second demo release and probably the last one, too, since English metal label Rage Of Achilles offered a deal and the band signed it. When I heard one song on Finnish metal radio show Metalliliitto, I thought it was already from a full length album.

Opeth, Death and Morbid Angel are the names, that raise into my thoughts when listening to these two songs. There's also more melodic parts and even American thrash metal type stuff. Amoral's metallurgy is diverse and the songs are longish. Despite the duration of the songs the music flows on naturally and not a single part sound like it was pushed in forcibly, even though 'Metamorphosis' goes from beautiful to warped. Three songs are also different from each other, but clearly from the same band.

These five guys are talented musicians. The music they play is wonderful to listen to and there's no any showing off. Vocals are low growling and they bring one name to my mind, without doubt: Opeth's Mikael Ã…kerfeldt. The vocals are powerful, so fine by me. No need to bring in Kotipelto mk. II. Productionwise this is great. Thunderstone and ex-Antidote guitarist Nino Laurenne helped with it.

This sounds totally ready. As I already mentioned, this does not sound like demo material at all. We'll hear if Amoral have a full-length's worth music like this. Best demo I have heard, at least in the new millenium.
