One thing always assured and unfaltering, is the supply of Polish death metal. Maybe they have genetic industry to engineer death metallers, or they just preschool kids to be like that. Probably it is Poland's funereal and torrential history, more like. So, may I introduce another death metal band from there, then? In Silent is their name, and they formed in 1996.

In Silent's craft is darkened/blackened yet aggressive death metal, which can immediately be associated with their homeland. Very, very Polish-esque riffing, which consist of hacking style and open string here and there. Vader, Behemoth, you know the story... Blast beats, fast double kick drumming and groovier parts are the drums' offering. Quite militaristic and belligerent, for sure. The bass guitar rumbles rather silently under the kick drums, and is badly left in shadows. The vocals are low-ish growling and grunting, with higher growl injecting that demonic feel. The trick used so many times...

In Silent are able to produce some tasty Polish death metal riffing, but it all is enormously familiar. Significant part of the riffing is simplistic. It's about being more kicking than about playing tricks. The songs usually have enough parts, but many of them sound quite similar to each other. There are a few slight deviations, at least for short portions, in the songs. While the music at times has a blackened aura to it, I think this is pure death and gore lyricswise.

The production job is a tad demo-ish. The guitars, while carrying clear and still quite rough tones, do not bite and end up sounding blunt. The drums are okay, except the snare drum that is snappy and light in its sound. It kind of drowns under harsher sounds. However, the playing here isn't lacking on any department, but is energetic. B/w covers are simple, but include the lyrics.

This is not a tough one to listen to by any fan of Polish death metal, and I believe many of them will find some good stuff therein. To me, this is just too familiar to particularly notice most it. While it does not leave me cold, it doesn't offer any real thrills. It's not particularly memorable, either.
