What the fuck does "faireless" mean? Does it mean bassless? I mean, this album is almost devoid of bass frequencies. You can dig some up by using an equalizer, but when the production was goofed, it does not help much when the crackling appears...
Okay, being one of the most worse-sounding albums I've ever heard, it does contain some insane, feral death metal. Low-tuned guitars hacking out some gory riffs. However, it is just messy and I really cannot find any kind of originality there; for example Cannibal Corpse, Sinister and Desecration (UK), and some grindcore influence from Carcass and the Polish scene influences are heard on this one. When farting bass guitar, without bass frequencies, is there muddling things up, it is a tough bloody job to find anything memorable therein. There certainly is some more rational stuff to be found, and I'm not pointing out solely to the Deicide cover song. The pace often gets fast and blasting, but there are slower, more groovy parts heard, too.
The kick drums are the thing that bring in some lower frequencies. But still they sound triggered, which they probably aren't. The snare drum is not far from 'St. Anger's classic "snare that goes bing"... The vocals are ugly, and inhuman at times. Very guttural and roaring sounds, indeed, and without the use of vocal harmonizer as is stated in the booklet. Lower and more high-pitched growls take turns and are also heard simultaneously. Like Chris Barnes meets old Carcass regurgitation, but sadly this is powerless. This sounds like it was recorded live, and I have to point out that the band sounds tight; of what is heard...
And as the cover art (there's another version ripping off H.R. Giger) reminds me of Christmas, thanks to its lovely colour scheme, I have to state that the album is far from a success. By the way, fitting ambient, spacey intro is heard (a Christian cross flying into a chaotic vacuum... of Christmas lights!). Does its best to give me a fucking massive headache, this. Gladly they came up with better shit later.
