Antidote plays speed/thrash metal with influences from Metallica, Xentrix and Testament, even though they have some originality going on here, too. At least when thinking that this is already six years old.
10 songs, almost every of them over 5 minutes long, Antidote have done a bit too long tunes. Some of the songs are okay ('Woe Betide Them', 'You Medicate' and 'Into the Dreamside'), but the rest of them aren't too good compositions. They just crash down somewhere during their long durations. Exhausting might be the right word, but surely not because of speed or brutality. 'Slowmotion' has one of the most annoying riffs I've ever heard!
Musicians are alright, but the echoing drum sound makes the overall sound quite crap. Nino Laurenne's vocals are quite okay with all of the Hetfieldism found on them. I really liked the new demo track 'Fatherland' on Suomi Finland Perkele cover CD, so I don't crush the band with these words. But the cover art of 'Total' does... It's like 1980s disco record cover! Hilarious!!!
