Brutal EP, and I was happy to be one of the very select few to own a copy of this thanks to Oscar Besteiro (guitars/backing vocals). What a killer piece, talk about unrelenting and vile. This Spanish quintet is everything this "A" of an EP gets. Thereafter, their 2018 opus 'Origin' was born. But this one gave an idea of the direction they're going to musically. It seems their main focus are HEAVY guitarwork and deep vocals (female ones). What an astoundingly epic release. The music just sucks you in. And the recording quality is top notch. I don't have anything negative to say about this one. It's a little bit less than perfect.

They may say "black/death metal" but I'd say it's more "death metal" oriented than anything else. I say that because the riffs are thick and gruesome alongside brutal vocals. But the riffs are just sick! They're just perfect to the point of being unique and catchy. I can understand the "black metal" portion of the EP or one of the two genres they mesh into one but I think that the black metal portion would be the atmospheric sense to it. Even though this is just four songs and 15 minutes in length doesn't mean that it's something thrown together without merit. It's simply awe-inspiring.

It was shocking a while back to know that these vocals on here are female. Though female vocals in metal isn't that uncommon. On this, Chousa does a great job on her part on vocals. She makes the band way underground and brutal. The guitars just go alongside her and follow her low bellowing voice. It would be another reason why they're two genres mixed into one. Chousa gives the black metal vibe and the guitars HEAVY and THICK. I would say that these are some of the most innovative riffs for an EP that I've reviewed. They would measure up to the band Blood of the Wolf's 2019 EP 'Blood Legend'.

Production quality was top notch on here. I loved the segue into the EP, the clean guitars. It made it into a perfect get-go into the brutality. These guys are just getting better and better. I cannot wait until their next album in the near future will sound like. Hopefully, like they have been sounding. Pure black/death brutality and unrelenting thick riffs. Don't shy away from the clean guitar because it only gets better and better. Purely atmospheric and epic, I enjoyed all 15+ minutes of this one. Check it out today!
