This is a brutal release, but not as likable as 2000's 'Conquerors of Armageddon' to me. The riffs are HEAVY and "cool", that is they do some experimenting on here. On 'Conquerors...' it was chronic blast beating. The riffs here are good, just not as original. The new Krisiun is decent, too but I tend to like their older material better. They in my opinion are better releases than the newer material. But the vocals will always be hoarse to go well with the music. On here, the tempos vary. Thick, HEAVY, and unrelenting these guitars are thanks to Moyses Kolesne. Alex Camargo does a great job alongside the music with his guttural voice.

I liked every song on here, but it's just not as likeable as the older stuff. I cannot stress that enough. With the old it was more intense. On here, is intense but a little "softer" guitarwork. Krisiun is a 3-piece band that you either really like them or you really hate them. There really is no in-between. I've always liked them, just not the REAL RAW stuff. This one has a good production quality to it. The riffs are fast, but they're more groove laden. That's what differentiates them with the newer and older releases. This one has some really great moments to it. And some of it isn't the greatest. I still give this a "B" for their effort.

Production is solid. They really did a good job with all the instruments weaving them in. And another jacked Krisiun release here. They really show that they're able to take their intensity and vary it. Songs on here are top notch. They know how to diversify, so that you don't know what to expect on each succeeding output. I got this on CD some time ago but it's been dormant for quite some time. Not because I didn't like it, but because I haven't been in the mood for it. They did good with the Motörhead cover, too. And the main songs really pack a punch. Not their most intense release but HEAVY.

If you want diverse death metal, 'AssassiNation' is where it's at. You won't get anything better this time around than true brutality. I liked this album, but it's one that like I said you either love or hate. It's really something you need to be in the mood for. Otherwise it just kills the vibe. They know what they're doing in terms of the songwriting but they are now in an era of experimentation. You can check this one out online. Show support for the band and buy a physical copy. This one SLAYS!
